i rate him -
why, he is good at start but later ...
what to change:
first flamestrike, this shit is best on level 6 , have biggest radius, after radius is smaller
(and yes, before u ask, im 100% sure in that)
can have a bit more dmg
cast range must be a bit longer
banish dont stack with all warden spells , why?

And banish on lvl10 dotn work ( it says slow an hero down by 1000%) but u still can move like banish 3 or 5.

@clerc: ask blizzard wjy it doesnt work with ALL spells wink

also made it a bit more powerfull ("shorter intervalls")
the aoe is also increasing from lvl1 to lvl10!

in the latest map u get mostly bloodmage AND archmage, that sucks

flamestrike and blizzard -> no creeps there at horde side and later phönix omg ?

random-system hasnt been touched since 2.75c ....
just try to pick different colours and maybe type -random sometimes very fast and sometimes a bit later in the game.

banish seems to be a bit overpowered....it reduces te movement speed like hell desperate
atm its lvl1 50%, lvl2 75%, lvl3 100% .... lvl10 300%.

what about
a) lvl1 15%, lvl2 20%, lvl3 25%....lvl10 60%
b) lvl1 20%, lvl2 30%, lvl3 40%....lvl10 110%
c) lvl1 10%, lvl2 20%, lvl3 30%....lvl10 110%
d) lvl1 13%, lvl2 21%, lvl3 29%....lvl10 85%
e) ... ?

or have some other suggestions?

is there a possibility that the phoenix die too after fighting? (because they only become eggs and hatch again)
maybe trigger it that everything in fighting zone is either moved out after the fight or everything dies a second time after maybe 5 seconds, so the eggs are gone

make the mana siphon cost more mana
10 for every level is too low, maybe make it cost as much as it drains per second, or just half of it but not 10 ^^

This hero annoyes me the most if he is against me. Coward ranger Mad Mad , mana syphon and firestrike.. always has to run back.. nothing to do with it with melee.

Of course later in game it doesnt bother me that much unless he has max phoenix. I think they are very powerful but perhaps thats the good in bloodmage at endgame (and the good stats from good creeping).

I find firestrike very powerful at beginning. Too easy to creep. And with syphon every hero will avoid the front of the battle. So no chance to creep well for horde at beginning. Compared to lich's ulti (!) it rules (in early game) even in lvl 4.
Perhaps make syphon's cd a bit longer. This way he can drain almost all the time... Neutral

if you dont want to read explanations, skip to the last sentence for my opinion:

he is just the best early-midgame creeper ingame and can become quite uber with it
the phoenixes are just insane creepers, since nearly every unit has heavy armor
especially enemy summons are like instantly dead

of course they can be focused, but his flamestrike pushes so hard that he will level faster than you, unless you dont have pitlord and bloodlord
his phoenixes are great in early game and a bit weak in late game (which is no problem, but....)




I think the phoenixes are too strong in early game, does anyone else think so, too?

I can't agree with u bushfire. Imo phoenixes are still powerful, as orc said they are insane creepers. In early/mid game u can easily get lots of money and become great dmg dealer. In late game when phoenixes are pretty weak u can also buy ress book.

i think the cooldown of manadrain has to be increased a LOT. it is somewhat impossible for a melee horde (not bm) to scare the bloodmage in earlygame. then it stays very painful (if the bloodmage skills manadrain) becaus the mana lost is huge every time he sees the melee. on high lvl i think its ok, but in earlygame much more powerful than for example manaburn of dh.

i just hat a 3v3 (leavers) kael & batman against horde demonhunter and taure. ther was no way to harm one of them Smile

Actually, you can move your phoenix out of fight zone: order them to move to the castle and they will find way out.
